New Hotels
Remission in Stamp Duty,
Land and Building Tax
and Luxury Tax to New Hotels Remission
in Stamp Duty, Land and Building Tax and Luxury Tax
for New Hotels provided that an investment of Rs. 1
Crore or above is made between the period 01.04.2000
and 3 1.12.2002 and the unit start functioning by 31st December' 2002 |

such as Safari Park, Holiday Resorts, amusement parks,
Hotels Ropeways etc. |

(a) |
Remission in Land and
Building Tax
Remission in Land and Building Tax payable in respect
of boarding/lodging units, Safari Park, Holiday
Resorts, Amusement Parks, Camping Sight Ropeways and
Motels etc. to the extent of 100% for a period of 5
years. Such remissions, are available only to those
Tourism Units which have invested Rs. 1.00 Crore or
above during the period between 29.3.01 and 31.12.02
and start functioning by 31.12.02 |

Remission in Luxury Tax
Remission in Luxury Tax up to 50% in municipal areas
and up to 100% in Panchayat Areas
for a period of 5 yrs. To boarding/lodging units,
Safari Park, Holiday Results, Amusement
Parks, Camping Sight Ropeways and Motels etc. Such
remissions are available only to those
Tourism Units which have invested Rs. 1.00Crore or
above during the period between
29.3.01 and 31.12.02 and start functioning by 31.12.02 |

Remission in Stamp Duty
Remission in Stamp Duty up to 50% in
municipal areas and upto100% in Panchayat Areas on
transfer of deeds relating to purchase (if land for
boarding/lodging units. Safari Park, Holiday Resorts,
Amusement Parks, Camping Sight Ropeways arid Motels
etc. Such remissions are available only to those
Tourism Units which have invested Rs. 1.00 crores or
above during the period between 29.3.01 and 3 1.12.02
and start functioning by 31.12.02 |

Hotels and Lodging Houses |

(a) |
Remission in Luxury Tax during the off-season
During
the month of off-season i:e April - May - June - July
the Luxury Tax is exempted
up to 50% payable under Rules. |

(b) |
Increase in slab rate of Luxury Tax
The Slab rate of Luxury Tax has been increased from Rs.
750/-to Rs. 1000/-on room tariff.

Interest Subsidy to tourism
Units such as Hotel, Motel etc
Interest Subsidy of 2% on the rate of interest
subject to a maximum of Rs. 15.00 lacs is given
by Industry Department on the loans taken from
State/Central financial Institutions, Scheduled
Commercial Banks and Co-operative Banks, subject to
the condition that such
tourism units shall employ 50% unskilled local
workforce. Subsidy would be available on eligible
investment up to 60. 00 lacs |
